Communities That Care of Lorain County (CTC) is Lorain County’s Drug Free Community Coalition. CTC uses a broad-based coalition of stakeholders that used youth survey and other data to identify problematic levels of risk factors, protective factors and other problem behaviors in Lorain County to implement tested and effective prevention strategies as a way to address prioritized needs.

CTC’s Executive Committee

Communities That Care of Lorain County is overseen by an Executive Committee. The role of the Executive Committee to implement the Strategic Prevention Framework for Lorain County and to oversee CTC’s Action Plan:

• Assessment: Collect data to define problems, resources and readiness to address needs and gaps
• Capacity: Mobilize and/or build capacity to address needs
• Planning: Develop a comprehensive strategic plan that includes policies, programs and practices creating a logical data-driven plan to address the problems identified
• Implementation: Implement evidence-based prevention programs, policies and practices
• Evaluation: Measure the impact of the SPF and its implemented programs, policies and practices
